Welcome to Threads of Gold, a new endeavour by the community members of the Rolling Rack and Meet The Fashion Press Industry Networking Groups to help provide new clothing for children in need. Our community outreach this year will benefit several elementary schools throughout the United States. Many of these children live below the poverty level, cannot afford daily school lunches and most receive their clothing and accessories from local charities. As an educator I saw firsthand how these children live. I created this program because I was profoundly moved by the terrible living conditions these children are raised in and by their tremendous gratitude, pride and enthusiasm even as they are unaware that their clothes are thrift shop donations.

We'd like to thank the generosity of past donors such as Marc Ecko, Russell Corp and Kate Quinn Organics. If you are interested in donating we suggest several ways:

• 1. Direct donation of NEW children's clothing (please don't send gently worn or used clothing)
• 2. Donation of a clothing store gift card
• 3. Donation of funds for the sole purpose of purchasing children's clothing
• 4. Donation of your time for future events.

Rest assured 100% of your donation will go directly to the school, school PTA and/or to purchase new children's clothing. In fact, I will directly deliver the donations to the school or school PTA.
